A great bang for our buck Sound off on Obama's $100 million trip to Africa Nothing can have a bigger impact on U.S. foreign policy and economic interests than a visit from the president It's an opportunity to develop new economic partners and promote democracy in African nations With China aggressively investing in Africa, it would be irresponsible for the U.S. not to establish a stronger presence there Most of the cost of the trip is for security -- the Secret Service determines that, not Obama A lot of federal employees furloughed because of the sequester could be back on the job for $100 million Obama's surrounded with tens of millions of dollars worth of security while he tries to limit Americans' ability to protect themselves So, could we cut the cost in half if it was just a one-way trip? Senegal, Tanzania and South Africa ... how can THAT be worth $100 million? If he thinks a foreign junket is going to make his scandals disappear, he's mistaken Let's see ...
