I love it when folks say that gay people are getting special rights but cannot list what those rights are that everyone else does not have. The law clearly says that a business (as opposed to a religious institution) cannot discriminate by choosing whom they provide services to. You either serve all people at a lunch counter, or get out of that business.
In Virginia, you could once get fined for marrying a mixed-race couple. Religious bigots at the time would say that being able to marry someone of a different race was a “special right.”
