If you haven't done anything wrong, you have nothing to worry about The police are protecting us from bad stuff, so we need to have checkpoints It's no more intrusive or unjustified than TSA airport screening If they save just one life from being taken by a drinken driver, the checkpoints are worth it While I don't like them, they are necessary for safety I am fine with them, as long as they are conducted professionally, courteously and constitutionally The police could save more lives if they'd just patrol the highways for drunken drivers instead of harassing every driver at a checkpoint When I get stopped at checkpoints, they make me feel like I'm living in Nazi Germany It's obvious that we are now in Police State USA The Fourth Amendment protects against unreasonable search and seizure, so any routine police checkpoint is unconstitutional They should only conduct checkpoints near Capitol Hill just as Congress adjourns Other View Results Loading ...
