EMERGING DISEASES
Americans today face many big threats – from ISIS, Iran and Russia overseas, to a vexing economy, racial violence and growing government tyranny and loss of freedom at home.
But some of the biggest threats facing us, ironically, are small – so small we can't even see them.
One of the most recent "invisible" threats to emerge into the news cycle is MERS – "Middle East Respiratory Syndrome" – which originated in the Arabian Peninsula, but has already spread to at least 20 other countries, including the U.S.
Before that, it was the dreaded Ebola virus, which killed thousands in West Africa and spread fear throughout America and the rest of the world. In recent months the news media have reported on a measles epidemic, about vaccine problems, about rare diseases brought into America by illegal aliens, and about ominously drug-resistant strains of diseases once defeated, like TB. Disease threats emerge into the news cycle, run their course, and then drop off our radar.
But according to an eye-opening new e-book by Jane Orient, M.D., president of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, the issue of new and emerging disease threats should not "drop off our radar," because these threats are ever with us. Fortunately, armed with the right information, she says, readers can readily protect themselves and their families from the smallest – though often the scariest – threats we face today.

ISIS Rising
How did a movement once dismissed by President Obama as "the JV team" become a serious threat, not only to stability in the Middle East, but to the U.S. itself?
It's a question raised by many Americans disturbed by daily reports of unimaginable atrocities by the self-declared Islamic State, also known as ISIS and ISIL, as it has stormed its way across huge swaths of Syria and Iraq and repeatedly threatened the American homeland.
Videos of the beheadings of American journalists and reports of brutal massacres, crucifixions, rapes and torture have caused many to wonder what motivates ISIS, where did it come from and what are its ultimate intentions? Is ISIS really establishing a genuine and lasting Islamic caliphate that will not only serve as a powerful magnet for disaffected Muslims worldwide, but metastasize over large parts of the world?
WND Books offers answers to those questions and more in a brand new e-book by Middle East expert and former Department of Defense senior security policy analyst Michael Maloof, titled "ISIS Rising: Prelude to a neo-Ottoman Caliphate."

The Truth About Ebola
Throughout the current Ebola crisis, Americans have endured a constant stream of smug, evasive and misleading assurances from both Barack Obama and the CDC that they were totally on top of the Ebola threat – when the truth has been quite the opposite.
Understandably, Americans are anxious, concerned, and often don't know what to believe. Into this breach steps Jane Orient, M.D., executive director of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons and also head of Doctors for Disaster Preparedness, with a brand new e-book, published by WND Books, titled "The Truth About Ebola: Protect Yourself and Your Family." It authoritatively answers every practical question – and then some – you may have regarding Ebola, all without even a smidgeon of the political correctness infecting the government's statements, reassurances and policies.
This special e-book, which focuses particularly on how to guard the health and wellbeing of yourself and your loved ones, is being made available FREE, exclusively to WND news alert subscribers. Best of all, Dr. Orient will be adding major updates to the Ebola e-book every month for the next five months, so WND news alert subscribers can download a new version any time they want to get the very latest information. The Shemitah
In September, Jonathan Cahn, bestselling author of "The Harbinger" and the inspiration for the hit documentary "The Isaiah 9:10 Judgment," released a followup book that has, once again, topped the charts. It's called "The Mystery of the Shemitah," and its sensational findings regarding an ancient Hebrew sabbatical year pattern is sending shockwaves around the world.
As Cahn explains, "The Shemitah affects everything – from stock market crashes and downturns to the rise and fall of nations and empires."
WND Books has created a free e-book primer on the "Shemitah" so you will understand what millions are talking about when they approach you breathlessly about Cahn's startling discovery of a supernatural, seven-year rhythm to great events throughout history – and, seemingly, in the future.
This special e-book report is the first in a series of such timely reports being made available exclusively to WND news alert subscribers. As long as you remain subscribed for free to this service of WND, you will have access to all future giveaways of this kind.
