U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth says Sen. Mark Kelly, D-Ariz., is now under legal investigation for a possible violation of his oath by leaking classified details about U.S. weapons stockpiles during a Sunday interview on CBS’ “Face the Nation.”
“The numbers are, I think it’s fair to say, it’s shocking how deep we have gone into these magazines,” Kelly told anchor Margaret Brennan. “We’ve expended a lot of munitions and that means the American people are less safe.”

“The munitions are depleted. You may have seen me ask the secretary of defense this question about how long it’s gonna take to replenish. We”re talking about years.”

Brennan herself highlighted Kelly’s comments on X, writing: “After hearing the Pentagon classified brief on Iran war impact on US weapons stockpiles, Senator Mark Kelly says it is ‘shocking how deep we have gone into these magazines.’
“He said the Tomahawks, ATACMS, SM-3, THAAD rounds, Patriot rounds, so those interceptor rounds to defend ourselves have been hit hard. He says it’ll take years to replenish those stockpiles, which could affect a hypothetical US conflict with China.”

Kelly’s remarks are not sitting well with Hegseth, who announced: “‘Captain’ Mark Kelly strikes again. Now he’s blabbing on TV (falsely & dumbly) about a *CLASSIFIED* Pentagon briefing he received.
“Did he violate his oath … again? @DeptofWar legal counsel will review.”

As WorldNetDaily reported in February, Hegseth through the Department of Justice has appealed a court ruling that protects Kelly who, along with numerous other Democrats, engaged in what has been described as “seditious” talk.
The fight over the comments by Kelly and others suggesting President Donald Trump was issuing “illegal” orders has been escalated to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia.
Kelly earlier had been protected by Judge Richard Leon, who issued a preliminary ruling that the plans for punishment possibly violated Kelly’s speech rights.
Kelly responded on social media, with, “I went to war to defend Americans’ constitutional rights, and I won’t back down from this fight, no matter how far they want to take it.”
