Fox News is shaking up the faces on its program “The Five,” naming “Outnumbered” host Emily Compagno as a full-time anchor on the No. 1 program in all of cable television.
Compagno, an attorney and former NFL cheerleader, will officially join the program Sept. 8 alongside Greg Gutfeld, Dana Perino, Jesse Watters, as well as the rotating liberal seat featuring Harold Ford Jr. and Jessica Tarlov.
She will relinquish her current role on “Outnumbered” and a rotating Fox News personality will fill that seat until a permanent co-host is named.

“I couldn’t be more honored to join ‘The Five,’ a team I have long admired and have been fortunate to work alongside over the years,” Compagno said.
“Having an official seat at the table on what I truly believe is the most fun show on television is an incredible privilege. I am grateful for the opportunity and can’t wait to get started.”

Suzanne Scott, CEO of Fox News Media, said: “Fifteen years later, ‘The Five’ remains a powerhouse and appointment viewing for millions of Americans. Emily is a highly accomplished host whose energy and talent have made her a standout across Fox News Media, and we are thrilled to officially welcome her to the show.”
Fox News comedian Jimmy Failla clowned about Compagno: “I’ve never been happier for a person than I am for this badass right here. NOBODY deserves their success more and I’m not just saying that because she’s finally gonna pay me back for all the beers I’ve bought her.”
Prior to joining the network, Compagno practiced law in criminal defense and civil litigation and later served as a federal managing attorney and acting director at the Social Security Administration.

She also served as a senior judge judicial extern for the late Hon. John T. Noonan at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and held legal positions in South Africa and Brazil.
Compagno was also captain of the NFL’s Oakland Raiders cheerleading squad and was selected as an NFL ambassador, representing the league internationally and visiting U.S. troops in Iraq and Kuwait on a USO tour.

Fox’s Jesse Watters asked Trump during a broadcast without Jessica in the studio: “Mr. President, the next time you do this on ‘The Five,’ can we have you on set? Because we really want you to sit next to Jessica. I think you’d be a good influence on her.”
Trump responded: “I watch Jessica. I’m not a fan. She uses fake numbers. She’ll [say I’m] only polling 42%. That’s not right. I’m polling very high actually. I hate people that use fake polls. … I’m sure I’d like her. I’m sure she’s a lovely person. She’s just not for me. … Now tell me did she not want to do it. Or did you kick her off the show?”

“We didn’t kick her off,” replied Watters, explaining Jessica had a previously scheduled commitment.
Trump added: “I’m glad Jessica’s not there. Actually, I think your show would be better without her. But who am I to say that? It think it would be A LOT better.”
