The tragedy of 9/11, the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the sudden attack by terrorists that destroyed the Twin Towers in New York, seldom has been a cause for giggles.
Yet Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, a Democrat from New York, and Zohran Mamdani, the socialist mayor of New York, found it to be just that.

A report at the Washington Examiner said they were “apparently sharing a laugh” during the 9/11 memorial events on Friday.
The report said as the victims names were being read, “Mamdani and Ocasio-Cortez seemed to giggle with each other.”
It was noticed.
And not with applause, either.
Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, said, “How the hell do you laugh while the names of those murdered on 9/11 are being read aloud? Why would you do so?”
“AOC and Jihadi Mamdani should not be anywhere near that hallowed ground. They do not mourn this country — they mock it. Have some damn respect,” charged Rep. Randy Find, R-Fla.
The report pointed out there already were those with objections to Mamdani’s presence because of his “past statements on U.S. foreign policy and his appointment of Ramzi Kassem to be the city’s chief counsel. Kassem represented Ahmed al Darbi, an al Qaida associate who pleaded guilty to war crimes charges.”
The Muslim Mamdani also had posted a statement about attending a memorial mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and he was recognizing those “who died on 9/11.”
Rep. Riley Moore, R=-W.va., said, “DIED?? They were murdered by Islamic terrorists!!”
