President Donald Trump on Tuesday extended the ceasefire with Iran indefinitely, allowing more time for an acceptable peace proposal to be worked out before the U.S. resumes any military action against the Islamic Republic.
Trump announced on Truth Social: “Based on the fact that the Government of Iran is seriously fractured, not unexpectedly so and, upon the request of Field Marshal Asim Munir, and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, of Pakistan, we have been asked to hold our Attack on the Country of Iran until such time as their leaders and representatives can come up with a unified proposal.
“I have therefore directed our Military to continue the Blockade and, in all other respects, remain ready and able, and will therefore extend the Ceasefire until such time as their proposal is submitted, and discussions are concluded, one way or the other.”
Earlier on Tuesday, as WorldNetDaily reported, Trump called on the Islamic Republic to release at least eight women who are reportedly set to be executed for acting against the country’s Muslim regime.
Trump shared an X post from 23-year-old UPenn graduate Eyal Yakoby who posted the photos of the women, saying: “The Islamic Republic is preparing to hang eight women. Not a word from the international community or so-called human rights organizations.”
Trump then commented on Truth Social: “To the Iranian leaders, who will soon be in negotiations with my representatives: I would greatly appreciate the release of these women.
“I am sure that they will respect the fact that you did so. Please do them no harm! Would be a great start to our negotiations!!! Thank you for your attention to this matter.”
