Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, has been around a few elections, having been in the House since 2007.

He’s known for his direct comments, including, “If you’re not willing to work, you’re never going to be able to experience the American Dream.”

And, “For me, I think being a conservative means you are focused on all four key principles: strong defense, lower taxes, less spending, and defending traditional American values.”

Just now, he’s delivered another. But he’s dispensed with the lengthy, wordiness of his earlier quotes.

Asked about Republican messaging for the 2026 midterms, he said the issue is, “They’re crazy. We’re not.”

“I think we have to highlight that for the American people.”

He said it’s also important to remind people the GOP said it would cut taxes, and did. And secure the border, and did. And prevent Iran from getting a nuke, and that’s happening now.

“If you put [Democrats] back in power, they’re gonna try to go back to all the crazy stuff: defund the police, defund ICE, open up the border, men in women’s sports, shut down the government…”

He said government action would be halted because the leftist party would run investigations into Republicans, impeachment campaigns, and more.

“You’re just going to have more craziness.”
