The scandal-plagued mayor of Los Angeles, Karen Bass, is insisting that taxpayers pay the bill for new teeth for drug users who have lost theirs to methamphetamines, cocaine, or other drugs.

A report at the Daily Mail said she is insisting that “new teeth would set them up for success.”

Her comments came during a forum for candidates for city office. She wants to be put in office for a second term.

“How many people that you meet that are unhoused don’t have teeth at all? They don’t have teeth. Why? Because meth rots your teeth.”

She explained, “You can’t succeed without teeth. So there needs to be comprehensive health care provided to people.”

However, as mayor Bass has yet to confirm plans for any efforts to help with homeless with health care.

But she brags on the city website her homeless initiative, for $300 million, has moved 5,000 off the streets.

National correspondent for the Daily Signal, Tony Kinnett, said “tax dollars shouldn’t be paying for your bad decision.”

On social media was the comment about her “free taxpayer-funded dental care for meth addicts,” that, “Democrats literally are saying it’s the working person’s responsibility to buy drug addicts new teeth because they chose to rot them all out using meth – How about get rid of meth? – How about strong crackdown and arrests against meth dealers? – Is she going to give them meth proof dentures? – The homeless will just try and pawn their new teeth at pawn shops Democrats have literally no solutions to anything, their only solution is make taxpayers pay more money to people making wrong decisions.”

A current report at the Daily Signal said Bass now has become “the meme.”

Her comments about homeless and teeth, the report said, can be translated: “You can’t succeed without a smile. The same mayor whose AI version was already cackling as the Joker just told the world that the biggest obstacle facing 75,000 unhoused Angelenos is missing molars—not the meth, fentanyl, mental illness, or policy failures that put them there.”

The report added, “Bass … doesn’t want actual success fixing the homelessness crisis, but instead wants dentures—a taxpayer-funded grin so the zombies can ‘succeed’ while the rest of us dodge needles and human waste on the sidewalks. It’s not policy; it’s performance art from the dumbest cohort in American politics.”
