STUART, Florida – Pam Bondi, the former U.S. attorney general dismissed by President Trump in April, has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer, becoming the latest high-profile woman in Trump world to face serious health issues.
Axios buried the cancer disclosure in a story about Bondi’s appointment to an artificial intelligence advisory panel, reporting: “Bondi was diagnosed with thyroid cancer shortly after departing the Justice Department, according to a source. She underwent treatment and is recovering.”
Fellow Floridian and Republican U.S. Sen. Rick Scott reacted to the cancer revelation, saying: “This is terrible news, but Pam has been a dear friend for years, and I know she’s a fighter. If anyone can beat this, it’s her. Anne and I are praying for Pam and her family as they go through this.”
Podcaster Katie Miller, wife of Trump’s Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Stephen Miller, said on X: “Pam has been quietly kicking cancer’s ass the last few weeks. @PamBondi has a heart of gold.”

CBS News reported the 60-year-old Bondi “underwent surgery as part of her treatment a couple of weeks ago.”
Vice President JD Vance told the network that Bondi “has been an enormously valuable asset to the president’s team, and I’m thrilled for her and for all of us that she’s going to remain involved in confronting some of the most important issues the administration faces.”
Several other top figures connected to President Trump are dealing with major health concerns.
Five days ago, as WorldNetDaily reported, U.S. Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard announced her resignation effective June 30 to help her husband fight an “extremely rare form of bone cancer.”

On May 20, Vanessa Trump, the former daughter-in-law to President Trump who has been dating golfing legend Tiger Woods, said on Instagram she had been “recently diagnosed with breast cancer.”

“While this isn’t news anyone expects, I’m working closely with my medical team on a treatment plan,” she said. “I would like to thank my doctors for performing a procedure earlier this week on me.”
In March, as WorldNetDaily reported, Trump’s own Chief of Staff Susie Wiles was diagnosed with early stage breast cancer.

The president said at the time: “She has a fantastic medical team, and her prognosis is excellent! During the treatment period, she will be spending virtually full time at the White House, which makes me, as President, very happy!”
