Sen. Josh Hawley is calling for the federal Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, through its chief, Mehmet Oz, to investigate the abortionists of Planned Parenthood for allegedly giving “gender transition” drugs to minors and getting paid with Medicare and Medicaid money.

A report in the Washington Stand explained the demand is for an investigation into “the nation’s large abortion profiteer.”

Hawley’s recent letter cites the work by Oz, on a team with Vice President JD Vance, on the White House Task Force to Eliminate Fraud.

“I appreciate your focus on combatting fraud in our nation’s healthcare programs and ensuring that taxpayer dollars are being used for their lawful, intended purposes,” Hawley explained in his letter, asking Oz to review the abortion industry giant’s “role in pushing transgender madness onto minor children.”

Between just 2019 and 2021, Planned Parenthood took some $1.5 billion from Medicare and Medicaid coffers.

“In other words, billions of taxpayer dollars have been taken from those in poverty and the elderly and given to Planned Parenthood,” the senator explained. “Moreover, these funds apparently have been used to prop up Planned Parenthood’s provision of transgender procedures to children.”

Planned Parenthood biggest industry venture is its abortion business.

But it also has moved in recent years into handing out chemicals so children can be “transgender,” a misnomer as changing genders scientifically doesn’t happen.

Hawley said the industry player has prescribed gender transition drugs to children during children’s first appointments, without “any medical documentation whatsoever.”

“I am concerned that critical healthcare dollars are flowing to an organization that promotes transgender treatments on minors,” the senator wrote.

He told Oz, “In the absence of congressional action, you have an opportunity to expand your fraud investigation by probing Planned Parenthood’s compliance with applicable laws and regulations.”

He explained, “The organization’s transgender activities appear at the least to subvert Congress’s intent to direct Medicaid and Medicare funds to basic healthcare needs.”

The Department of Justice in recent days has confirmed settlements with two major children’s hospitals that had been caught up in the “transgender” industry.

Both the Cleveland Clinic and the Texas Children’s Hospital admitted to fraudulently billing Medicare and Medicaid for medical procedures that were never performed, instead conducting gender transition procedures on children, which President Donald Trump ordered last year could no longer be eligible for Medicare or Medicaid reimbursement, the report said.
