Iranians reportedly have thought up a number of assassination attempt schemes against President Donald Trump.
Obviously, they’ve been unsuccessful.
But now they’re going another direction: Trying to buy an assassination.
A report from the Middle East Media Research Institute confirms that an umbrella group of Iran-aligned militias has confirmed in a social media statement a $10 million reward for someone “who kills ‘criminal Trump.'”
It reportedly is the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, that umbrella group, that issued the threat on July 16.

On Telegram, the group said it is offering the $10 million and that the money can be paid to a third party, a person, entity or institution.
“The free people of the world will continue to pursue the killer of children and scholars. Tyrants shall taste no peace, nor will the criminal find a sanctuary to shield him from the wrath of the honorable. Retribution is a solemn vow which binds the mujahideen, and the blood of the martyrs shall remain a curse that shakes the thrones of the arrogant, until the aggressors are defeated and the strongholds of tyranny crumble,” said the threat.

Trump had received Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Zaydi at the White House only days earlier.
At that time, Trump commented on the January 2020 U.S. drone strike that killed Iranian IRGC Quds Force Commander Qassem Soleimani and former Popular Mobilization Units Deputy Chief Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.
Critics complained that the remarks were “mocking” and they triggered outrage among those terror groups supporting Iran.
The fracas arose even as there are increasing calls in Iran, Iraq, and the wider region to assassinate Trump.
During a recent funeral for Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, protesters carried banners claiming, “We will kill Trump.”
The report said, “After Khamenei’s killing and subsequent burial, Iran-aligned hardline media intensified calls to assassinate Trump by promoting revenge narratives, broadcasting threats, and framing retaliation as a religious or national duty—raising the visibility and perceived legitimacy of such messages among sympathetic audiences.”
The July 16 threat on Telegram shared a poster showing a gunman opening fire at Trump as a presidential convoy drives by.
Other social media images have included Trump in an open coffin.
