A new report has outlined the growing pressure for prosecutions of those who knew about election meddling by China in the 2020 presidential race, and deliberately concealed it not just from the American people but from the American president.
“The intelligence community withheld information from his president’s daily brief. That’s a big deal. That’s where the intelligence community gives him the absolute most classified data, what he needs to know for that day, and frankly, during his first term, they withheld it. That is a black mark on the intelligence community,” Rep. Keith Self, R-Texas, said in an interview with Just the News.
President Donald Trump this week addressed the nation, and unleashed a cache of intelligence documents that appear to expose problems in U.S. elections.
Further, the prior administrations, and multiple officials, had knowledge of the issues and appear to have deliberately concealed them.
“They should be charged because they hold positions of great responsibility, and they have violated our trust. They have violated the actual agreements that they sign when they get that level of classified data, so this is very, very easily charged and indicted,” Self added.
Issues that now have been revealed, the report said, including old software and claims that China acquired data on millions of American voters. The allegations charge China was working to build election support in 2020 for Joe BIden.
All that apparently was evident to intelligence officials, but concealed from the president and the public.
When Trump directed Americans to the White House website, where documentation was posted, it crashed.
House Intelligence Committee chairman Rick Crawford, R-Ark., also is demanding that CIA Director John Ratcliffe “take decisive action to hold all those involved …accountable for these egregious betrayals of the American people’s trust.”
Mike Davis, of the Article III Project, told the publication that intelligence analysts “obstructed and they conspired to provide doctored evidence to the President of the United States about a foreign invasion of our elections, and they must be held accountable. They must be arrested. They must be charged.”
