Secretary of State Marco Rubio has finally responded to the hilarious photograph of him appearing to disappear into a White House couch, and it turns out he hated the image before the internet transformed it into comedy gold.
The original photo showed Rubio slouched deep into a couch during President Trump’s explosive Oval Office meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

But the internet quickly gave the awkward image a second life, using it to portray the Trump administration’s “Secretary of Everything” discovering that he had just been handed yet another job.
During an interview with Lara Trump, Rubio admitted that his first reaction to the photograph was anything but positive.
“I HATED that picture!” Rubio said.
“In that couch, if you don’t have a pillow, you kind of sink. I look terrible!” he explained.
But Rubio said the photograph eventually “turned into this other thing,” and even he had to admit that the endless memes were funny.
White House Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino apparently decided to make sure Rubio never forgot the viral moment.
“Dan Scavino made a whole BOARD for me, and he’s updated it with all the different pictures,” Rubio revealed.
The Trump White House’s official Rapid Response account shared the hilarious exchange on social media.
