Patrice Comey, the wife of former FBI Director James Comey, allegedly sent her husband a nonviolent definition of “86” moments before he posted his infamous shell message of “86 47” which some believe is a threat to kill Donald Trump, the 47th president of the United States.
Investigative journalist Paul Sperry revealed late Friday night: “An FBI affidavit for a search warrant in the James Comey presidential threat case reveals his wife Patrice Comey sent him a Google screenshot of a nonviolent definition of the term ’86’ two (2) minutes before Comey posted the alleged threat against President Trump, indicating some forethought his posting could be construed as a threat.”

James Comey had posted on Instagram: “Cool shell formation on my beach walk” along with a photo of shells spelling out “86 47.”
The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines the verb “eighty-six” as “to reject, discontinue, or get rid of (something)” as well as “to eject or ban.”
The Urban Dictionary says it can mean “to get rid of (usually in reference to a person, often a coworker … sometimes viewed jokingly as a euphemism for killing them).”

A federal grand jury in the Eastern District of North Carolina indicted Comey last May on two felony counts for “knowingly and willfully make a threat to take the life of, and to inflict bodily harm upon, the President of the United States” and “knowingly and willfully did transmit in interstate and foreign commerce a communication that contained a threat to kill the President, Donald J. Trump.”
The indictment says “a reasonable recipient who is familiar with the circumstances would interpret” the photo “as a serious expression of an intent to do harm to the president.”
Comey’s trial has been postponed to October.
