The office of U.S. Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, was graphically vandalized Monday morning with the phrase “Trump Whore” spray-painted in red on the glass doors of its location in Biddeford, Maine.
Collins, who is running for her sixth term in Congress, was in Washington when the vandalism took place.
Maine state Sen. Matt Harrington, the assistant Republican minority leader, shared a photo of the message on X, saying: “I was sent this photo of Senator Collins’ Biddeford office this morning.
“What has the world come to? This is disgusting, disappointing and it’s not the Maine I grew up in. Do better.”

Katie Brown, the chief of staff for Collins in Washington, told News Center Maine: “Vandalism is unacceptable. Senator Collins and her staff will not be intimidated. Our Biddeford constituent service office remains open, and we will continue serving the people of Maine.”
Collins, 73, is Maine’s longest-serving member of Congress and the longest-serving Republican woman in the Senate. She has chaired the Senate Appropriations Committee since 2025.
The paint was scrubbed off the doors by Monday afternoon, and local police have not provided further information.
