A 6-year-old who is accused of bringing a gun to school and allegedly shooting a teacher was recorded on a body cam responding to police questions with cursing worse than a drunken sailor.
“Cursing at an insane level. How does an elementary school-level child show this level of depravity and disregard for life?” wondered RedState.com.
The report said the bodycam was from an officer who responded to the Jan. 6, 2023, shooting at Richneck Elementary in Newport News.
The report said the Virginian-Pilot got the video from Officer Brian Torrez’s camera on a court order.
The torrent of sewage erupted as the alleged shooter was being held in a bear hug by a school employee.

“If you want a piece of me, come get it on, b****. I don’t care if you call backup. I don’t care if I go to jail, b****,” the boy spews.
The employee warns him, “We know you know that language — and you know that’s not appropriate.”
He tells officers he took the gun from his mother, and tells them where it is.
“It’s over there, whore,” he says.
The employees tell him to stop.
“F*** you,” he says, cutting her off. “F*** you. F*** you, b****,” he states.
RedState said, “Teacher Abby Zwerner had already been shot with one bullet that struck her in the hand and chest. She had collapsed in the school office. The round came close to her heart, and a bullet remained in her chest. She spent nearly two weeks in the hospital, underwent six surgeries, and did not regain full use of her left hand.”
“Astonishing” was the boy’s behavior, language and “lack of fear for his own safety or those around him.”
There had been multiple warnings about the threat the boy offered, but nothing was done.
The teacher later was awarded $10 million in damages, and the boy’s mother, Deja Nicole Taylor got 21 months for lying on a gun-purchase form and possessing a firearm as a marijuana user. She later was given additional time for felony child neglect.
“It’s difficult to imagine what level of therapy and corrective action will be needed to turn this child into a productive member of society,” RedState said.
