An affiliate of the Smithsonian is recognizing the coming 25th anniversary of that horrible 9/11 terror atrocity, the Muslim world’s attack on America when nearly 3,000 innocent people were slaughtered, with a tribute to the real victims, those victimized twice, Arab-Americans.
It is the Arab American National Museum in Dearborn, Michigan, that has created an exhibit contending that they “suffered two-fold as a result of the tragic events of September 11th.”
After all, they suffered in the attacks, and then from, as the museum claims, the unfair treatment by the U.S. government.
“Since its founding, the museum has repeatedly hosted programs examining what it describes as discriminatory consequences of the U.S. response to 9/11,” according to a report at Fox News. The publicly funded museum is, the report said, continuing “to use its 9/11 exhibits and anniversary programming to focus on discrimination and government actions in the attacks’ aftermath, while giving less attention to the nearly 3,000 people killed that day.”
The report confirmed the site has gotten hundreds of thousands of dollars in tax money from the National Endowment for the Humanities and is affiliated with the Smithsonian.
For instance, one sign cites the government’s post-9/11 detention of immigrants investigated for possible terrorist links, noting that “virtually none were (sic) charged” in connection with terrorism.
“The Arab American community suffered two-fold as a result of the tragic events of September 11th. As with all Americans, they suffered the horror and grief. However, Arab Americans were unfairly held responsible, yet not a single Arab American was found guilty of any connection to September 11th,” the museum insists.
The museum contends the horrific attack caused “Arab and Muslim men” to be held, to be subjected to a “new system of registration” being deported for “minor” violations and worse.
That day, 19 al-Qaida terrorists hijacked four passenger jets, crashing two into the World Trade Center and one into the Pentagon. Passengers and crew on the fourth fought back and the hijackers failed to reach their destination, apparently the White House, and crashed into a field in Pennsylvania.
At the time, President George W. Bush publicly urged Americans not to blame Muslims for the attacks, and polling later suggested attitudes toward Muslim Americans actually improved in the immediate aftermath, the report confirmed.
The museum repeatedly has used its facilities to contend there is discrimination affecting Arab and Muslim communities, the report said.
It publicly ignores the nearly 3,000 victims, but instead promotes a “safe space for communities to reflect and engage in dialogue about the harmful prejudices that Arab and Muslim (and anyone perceived to be Arab or Muslim) individuals face on both an individual and systemic level.”

According to the Smithsonian-affiliated Arab American National Museum in Dearborn, Arabs were the real victims of 9/11.

The report said the museum has gotten more than half a million dollars from the NEH as well as a $385,000 grant from HUD in 2013, later collecting more than half a million dollars from 2017 to 2019.
On September 10, the eve of the anniversary, it is promoting a film on the “struggle” by the Palestinians that includes the October 7, 2023, war against Israel.
It further claims “apartheid” against Palestinians and Israeli occuption.
The museum is independent but maintains partnerships with the Smithsonian.
At RedState, a report said the Dearborn facility “is still framing the aftermath as something more traumatic for Arab-Americans.”
It’s in the district for which Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed, a Democrat, is running to represent in Congress.
The agenda to victimize Arab Americans, the report said, “It’s disgusting. And it’s a rewrite of reality that these Smithsonian-related exhibits are becoming synonymous with. One would expect to attend a museum and be inundated with science and facts, not fabricated narratives to gin up sympathy by creating non-existent victims.”
