A longtime Democrat party insider, former fundraiser Lindi Li who left during the 2024 campaign when she warned about Joe Biden’s decline and was ignored, has unleashed on the Democratic Socialists of America, a faction taking over more and more of the “mainstream” party.
“The Democratic Socialists of America are a metastasizing cancer. There I said it. They have hijacked the Democratic Party, a shell of its former self. The DSA is poisoning American politics,” she charged.

A report from Fox News explains the leadership vacuum created by Biden’s lack of leadership also created the opening for the DSA to surge.
The faction actually has taken a number of primary victories in the Democrat party this year, including in Denver, where a DSA candidate booted from office longtime, and mostly mainstream, Democrat Diana DeGette, a two-decade veteran of Congress.
“I had a bird’s-eye view from the beginning, you know, [to] the ascent of the DSA — power abhors a vacuum. They’re simply filling a vacuum. There’s no one there,” Li explained.
She charged the DSA has been pressuring candidates for years to go further and further toward Marxist, even communist, ideas.
She said when she ran for Congress herself in 2018, she was handed a questionnaire and ordered to fill it out.
“These over-educated bums, which populated the DSA — that’s what they are — basically forced me to adopt its platform by handing me a questionnaire and saying, ‘everyone in this congressional race must fill out this questionnaire,’” Li explained.
She charged, “That’s what they do. I don’t know if Americans are familiar with that, but that’s how they enforce compliance. They hand you these candidate questionnaires, you fill it out, and so your name is forever attached. It even made it to my Wikipedia page. So now on my Wikipedia page it has me as some tree-hugging, marijuana-supporting whatever. I said none of that. They just grabbed it from the questionnaire.”
She pointed out that in 2006, at this point in a campaign, “We knew [Barack Obama] was gonna be a presidential candidate. Who’s the candidate this time? We don’t know.”
“We need a Democratic leader who is unforgettable, dynamic, vigorous, who can launch a compelling argument to the American people. Instead, we have this milquetoast man, who nobody remembers. Keep in mind that the Democratic Party right now is so broke they put up their own headquarters up as collateral because they took out a loan. They’re broke. They have no money. Ken Martin is a joke.”
Li said she considers herself now conservative, and notes even as a Democrat, she sounded the alarm about the DSA influence.
The Gateway Pundit explained Li repeatedly has made the case that Kamala Harris cannot be the nominee for the Democrats again, as the donor class never would allow it.
