A woman has pleaded not guilty to a felony charge of jury intimidation after she filmed the jury deliberating the case of Lindsay Clancy, accused of killing her three children, because those jurors had been protected from any filming by a court order.

A report at People said Dawn Light, 56, was arrested for the filming outside Plymouth County Superior Court in Massachusetts.

She was taken into custody Tuesday “after allegedly filming the jurors as they left the building, according to court documents filed by Massachusetts State Police and obtained by PEOPLE,” the report said.

Her lawyer said the situation was a “misunderstanding.”

Light, after appearing in court, told reporters she “only wanted to see Lindsay.”

The report said she denied recording jurors “but the officer allegedly found a video on her phone. She then said she didn’t realize she had filmed the jurors, according to the documents,” the report said.

The jury continues deliberating the Clancy case.

Reports confirmed Massachusetts law forbids interfering with or intimidating witnesses or jurors in criminal proceedings. If convicted, Light could face up to 20 years in prison or a fine of up to $10,000.

A report from Newsday said the jurors were on their fifth day of deliberations.

Clancy has admitted taking actions that left her children dead, but alleges postpartum psychosis triggered her actions. Prosecutors disagree.

Clancy’s lawyer, Kevin Reddington, told the Associated Press that the judge summoned the jurors to ask if there was anything they saw that would affect their ability to be impartial.

Online journalist Eric Daugherty suggested she was an activist intending to taint the jury.

“FEC records suggest the 56-year-old woman who intimidated Lindsay Clancy jurors is an ACTBLUE DONOR I AM NOT SHOCKED AT ALL!! Donations in 2025 and 2026 come from an unemployed ‘Dawn Light’ based out of Sutton, Massachusetts — a little over an hour drive. While the public info is limited on FEC, these donations come from a Dawn Light with zip code 01590. It would have to be a crazy coincidence for this NOT to be the same person. She wanted to TAINT the jury!
