Hours after Karl Rove said he would vote for a Democrat in a Texas race, President Donald Trump erupted on the top Republican adviser to former President George W. Bush as “a stone cold loser” who is harming the Republican Party.
In a post on Truth Social Monday night, Trump said: “Karl Rove is so bad for the Republican Party, and completely wrong so often.
“He suffers from a major case of Trump Derangement Syndrome primarily because, for almost 10 years, I beat back and won against so many of the people and things that he wanted and espoused.
“Why does FoxNews and the WSJ keep his RINO Voice alive. The guy is a stone cold loser!”
Rove is a paid Fox News contributor, whom the network has been featuring extensively with his famous whiteboard during this election cycle.
The Texas Tribune on Monday reported Rove said he will vote for Jon Rosenthal, a Houston Democrat running to serve the Texas Railroad Commission, after Republican Bo French posted racist comments on Sunday about South Asian students at the University of Texas at Austin.

Rove was known as “The Architect” for helping Bush win the presidency, but the political consultant has been called a RINO, or Republican in Name Only, by many members of the Make America Great Again movement.
During an appearance with the left-leaning Atlantic Festival in 2024, Rove mocked Trump, doing an impression of the 45th and 47th president, saying: “My favorite line of his acceptance speech: ‘We’re gonna cure Alzheimer’s and cancer very quickly, and men will not be allowed to participate in women’s sports.’
“When I get up in the morning, those two things are right in front of me linked together inexorably.”

Rove also called the MAGA participants who entered the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, “thugs” who are a “stain on our history.”
