Music superstar Nicki Minaj is destroying a popular narrative among leftists that black Americans should and will vote for Democrats in the upcoming elections, saying many are waking up.
Appearing on “My View with Lara Trump” on Fox News Saturday, Minaj said: “For a very long time, black people specifically feel that they should just vote blue, so I would say the entire country there’s been a major shift where people are starting to wake up and see what’s going on and choose differently.
“They’re noticing that black people are not allowed, according to the Democrats for the most part, to make a different decision. We’re not allowed to think. We’re not allowed to voice concerns.
“And they’re seeing in real time, if they do, what happens to them: smear campaigns and just outright nasty behavior from these adults. It just doesn’t look good. And so the Democrats kind of have been just digging their own grave in that way.”

She said Black Americans were told for years to vote blue and never ask questions.

Though she herself works in the pop-culture industry, the Grammy-nominated rapper indicated: “I think the Democrats have gotten way too caught up in pop culture, for lack of a better term.
“I think that they’ve allowed their relationships with artists to cause them to act like children and to be so petty and childish. But that’s what I think they do. They allow people in the music industry to influence them, and these people clearly don’t have their best interests at heart.”
She urged young Americans to get to the polls for all political contests.
“Now is not the time to think that your voice will not be heard,” Minaj said. “Your voice will not only be heard, but your voice is very necessary right now for the country and for the world. We need you guys involved. We need you guys involved more than ever before. This is your country, this is your world. You are the ones that have to reap the benefits of whatever vote decisions we make now.”
“Think about how much you want a say in what happens and realize that the only way to have that is by voting – not just voting for the president, but just voting in all of the local elections,” she said.
“Please, and vote red now.”
President Donald Trump has called Minaj a “fantastic person,” and the singer told Lara Trump the commander in chief is “very authentic.”
“He brings this candid, unedited vibe to the White House that we’ve never before seen,” Minaj said. “And it’s refreshing because for a very long time, people started feeling like we don’t know who we can trust.”
“When you see someone that goes off script, it’s like you come alive again, you feel alive,” she added.
Political commentator David J. Freeman said of the interview: “Nicki Minaj just blew up the Democrats’ script on live TV. She said black Americans were told for years to vote blue and never ask questions.
“Now people are waking up and noticing what happens when they think for themselves: smear campaigns and nasty adult tantrums. Democrats are digging their own grave because they only love you when you obey.
“Nicki knew the music industry would come for her, and she stood with Trump anyway. That is authenticity. That is the American Dream talking back. Vote red.”
