A new national telephone and online survey has discovered that about 40% of “Likely U.S. voters” believe Iran’s government is “most to blame” for the war going on now.

But the Rasmussen results startlingly confirm, “Forty percent (40%) blame the U.S. government for the war, while 10% blame Israel’s government.”

A “surprising number would hand over Israel to Palestinian control in exchange for cheaper gasoline,” Rasmussen confirmed after the polling of 1,026 U.S. Likely Voters September 20, 2026 by Rasmussen Reports and Our Republic, 2026.

According to a report at Just the News, “Nearly one in every five voters would favor a deal to end the Iran war that would dissolve the state of Israel in favor of a Palestinian nation, if it led to low oil and gas prices.”

Nineteen percent of the respondents to the poll affirmed exactly that.

Twenty-four percent of Democrats were aboard that agenda.

The war began in late February with joint U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran that killed Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Despite a nominal ceasefire lasting for several weeks, negotiations to formally end the war broke down and fighting has resumed, the report said.
