The fact that federal agents in their investigation of alleged immigration fraud searched the home of U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., sarcastically identified as “D-Somalia” in a report by RedState, has been all over the headlines since it happened.
Now reports are confirming that there was some further sarcastic, even snarky, federal official at work on the project.
He, or she, or they, labeled the investigation “World War Eleven.”
That is a reference to Omar’s public claim that there was that war, even though the rest of the world by now has experienced only World War I and World War II.
WaPo reports that the federal criminal fraud investigation investigation into Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) is called “World War 11”, an apparent reference to a recent comment Omar made when she said the Alien Enemies Act hadn’t been used since “World War Eleven”. https://t.co/wKj1XEBGkM

🇺🇸BREAKING: The Trump Admin’s code name for the federal raid on Rep. Ilhan Omar’s home is “World War 11.” The nickname is a direct jab at Omar’s viral gaffe where she misread “World War II” while pushing to repeal the Alien Enemies Act. A senior official confirmed the investigation into possible criminal immigration fraud is being run under that moniker because of the uproar it could cause.

Ilhan Omar’s home getting raided is almost as historic as World War 11 must have been….

RedState said it was following “the fallout” from that raid, resulting from a weeks-long investigation into Omar’s paperwork.
But the name …
“You might be thinking, ‘c’mon, RedState this is dumb clickbait, I am going to be underwhelmed and then I will swear off reading you, but inevitably come crawling back the next day because I know I can’t get your no-BS political commentary anywhere else. Sigh,'” the posting said.
“World War Eleven. That is too funny.”
“The investigation is being led internally by White House deputy homeland security adviser Anthony Salisbury, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Director Joseph Edlow and Attorney General Todd Blanche,” the report said. “The investigation, nicknamed ‘World War Eleven’ within the administration because of the uproar it could cause, has accelerated in recent weeks, the senior official said.”
“For the record, Omar has been implicated in a number of scandals that have potential criminal implications.”
As WorldNetDaily previously reported, the back story on the name is that “Omar misread ‘World War II’ as ‘World War Eleven’ in a January 2025 press conference clip that went viral in late April 2026.”
