Acting U.S. Attorney General Todd Blanche on Tuesday issued a warning to anyone leaking national secrets to news media, a day after Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said Sen. Mark Kelly, D-Ariz., is now under legal investigation for a possible violation of his oath by leaking classified details about U.S. weapons stockpiles during a Sunday interview on CBS’ “Face the Nation.”

“To the media asking about DOJ investigating the leaking of classified information,” Blanche began, “Prosecuting leakers who share our nation’s secrets with reporters, in turn risking our national security and the lives of our soldiers, is a priority for this administration.

“Any witness, whether a reporter or otherwise, who has information about these criminals should not be surprised if they receive a subpoena about the illegal leaking of classified material.”

On Sunday, Kelly, a U.S. Navy combat veteran, told CBS News anchor Margaret Brennan: “The numbers are, I think it’s fair to say, it’s shocking how deep we have gone into these magazines. We’ve expended a lot of munitions and that means the American people are less safe.”

“The munitions are depleted. You may have seen me ask the secretary of defense this question about how long it’s gonna take to replenish. We’re talking about years.”

As WorldNetDaily reported Monday, Kelly’s remarks did not sit well with Hegseth, who announced: “‘Captain’ Mark Kelly strikes again. Now he’s blabbing on TV (falsely & dumbly) about a *CLASSIFIED* Pentagon briefing he received.

“Did he violate his oath … again? @DeptofWar legal counsel will review.”

Jake Tapper of CNN asked Kelly: “Why is Secretary Hegseth threatening to investigate you?”

Kelly replied: “He doesn’t want to be held accountable. They’ve expended an enormous amount of munitions, and I think the only investigation we need, the one we need right now, is after 15,000 strikes, all we got out of this, we have 13 dead Americans, we’ve got the Strait of Hormuz closed, gas prices in Arizona are $4.80 a gallon [and] seem to be heading up. And we have a secretary of defense, not only is he ill-prepared, unprepared, unqualified for this job, he doesn’t want to be held accountable for the actions.”

On Monday evening, without specifically referencing the probe into Kelly, Hegseth announced: “Today, I am convening a special review panel to conduct a comprehensive, long-term, department-wide review of every aspect of the military legal system impacting our servicemembers.

“This panel will enhance trust, strengthen our force, drive real reform, and help ensure our warfighters receive the world-class military legal system they deserve.”

“They’e gonna go deep,” Hegseth explained, “evaluating every service program, comparing them across the services benchmarking against the Department of Justice and the best state criminal justice systems. This review will result in concrete recommendations to cut bureaucracy, strengthen training and culture and make our legal professionals far more effective.

“This not about tearing anything down, it’s about strengthening and modernizing the system so that our vital Judge Advocate General Corps can better support the warfighter, uphold the rule of law and deliver the absolute best legal services that our troops have earned.”

Is the news we hear every day actually broadcasting messages from God? The answer is an absolute yes! Find out how!
