A new campaign ad from Republican U.S. Senate candidate Ken Paxton in Texas features a prominent viewer warning, as the Texas attorney general focuses on his Democrat opponent James Talarico’s self-proclaimed affection for one drag queen.
The commercial begins with real footage of Talarico answering the question, “Who is your favorite drag queen in Texas?”
The Democrat instantly replies, “Oh my gosh. Probably Alyssa Edwards.”
The ad then shifts into a montage of scenes featuring Edwards, whose real name is Justin Johnson, in sexually provocative imagery, some with young children.
“VIEWER WARNING,” writes Paxton atop the video. “Meet Alyssa Edwards: James Talarico’s favorite sick and twisted drag queen.”

One scene in the ad shows three young children seated next to Edwards, as they all say simultaneously: “My name is Alyssa Edwards, and THIS is Alyssa’s secret.”
Some early reaction online includes:
“Texas has been infiltrated with sick leftist liberals. Hopefully there’s enough native Texans left to keep Texas sane … get out and vote RED people your future depends upon it.”
“What’s even creepier is living in North Texas & seeing ‘Talarico’ signs on bumper stickers & in yards. When you pass the cars it’s a white liberal woman. They all came from the west coast when their schools shut down because they didn’t want their kids at home. They move to Texas & vote for the same monsters.”
As WorldNetDaily reported Sept. 8, Paxton released another incendiary ad in which he featured a “King James Talarico Bible,” where an A.I. version of the Democrat is shown saying: “In the beginning, God was non-binary and He wasn’t a Christian. And God said, let there be six genders, and there were.”

Meanwhile, the pastor at Talarico’s home church is admitting that it’s not a belief-based church, but it is a “sanctuary church that has been harboring an illegal alien from Guatemala for eight years.
Brandon Waltens, senior editor at Texas Scorecard, on Monday posted undercover video of Rev. Carol Johnson from St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, in which she stated:
“We don’t have a lot of people who are religious here. Don’t laugh at me. We’re not a belief-based church, we’re a values-based church.
“The beliefs are what Jesus taught in the Sermon on the Mount. Loving each other, taking care of each other. Anti-empire. After the church became part of the Holy Roman Empire, suddenly Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount just went out the window and it became all about beliefs and whether you believe the right thing. And so we don’t spend time on that later stuff. We don’t spend time on creeds. We focus on the Sermon on the Mount.
“We’ve stood up for LGBTQ+ rights forever. And racial justice. And we have immigration stuff and we actually have a person living in our church who is from Venezuela – no, Guatemala. And he has worked here for eight years. So we are a sanctuary church.”

The questioner noted: “I’ve been following the Talarico campaign. I understand he goes to this church and speaks about it in interviews.
Rev. Johnson responded: “Yeah, he grew up in this church.”
