Following President Donald Trump’s military actions that have taken out large sections of Iran’s leadership, its military capabilities, and even its infrastructure, he’s now turned to applying economic pressure on a regime already facing economic headwinds.
And that’s prompted concerns that Iran could lash out against other Middle East nations, such as Israel, which has been a partner in Trump’s agenda to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, or having the resources to build them.
It is Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz who now has suggested that would be a very bad choice for Iran to make.
Because, he said, if Israel becomes Iran’s target, his nation could respond with demolition derbies on Iran’s energy and other infrastructure.
The result, he warned, would be an Iran “deep into the Stone Age and darkness.”
A report at Fox News said Katz was speaking to Defense Ministry employees at the time.
He said an Iran attack would cancel any restrictions Israel now feels on its responses.
“An Iranian attack on Israel would free Israel from any existing limitations on attacking Iran,” Katz reportedly told them.

He continued, “We will cripple all of Iran’s national military and civilian infrastructure — including energy infrastructure — and return Iran deep into the Stone Age and darkness.”
He confirmed that mounting economic pressure in Iran and fears among those in leadership in the Islamic regime could push them to adopt “desperate measures.” Trump has warned other nations against coming to Iran’s financial help and even has resurrected maritime court proceedings to confiscate the ships and cargo of those who would intervene in the market on Iran’s behalf.
The report said, “The warning comes amid a new escalation in fighting between the U.S. and Iran.
Washington and Tehran this week exchanged their heaviest barrage since July, with the U.S. striking Iran’s southern coast and Tehran firing at U.S. bases across the region.”
